OutdoorBabyNetwork is for parents who want to stay connected by sharing stories, reading gear reviews, staying up to date on the latest outdoor happenings that are important for introducing their children to the natural world.

Heidi Ahrens is the owner of OutdoorBabyNetwork. She has worked for the New York City Outward Bound School and the Canadian Outward Bound School. Previous to her work on OutdoorBabyNetwork she has taught public school (Brooklyn and Grand Junction) for more than five years and has taught at Colorado Mountain College. Traveling has always been a part of Heidi’s life. She has spent some time in Europe, Central and South America, Northern and Eastern Canada, the United States. Heidi graduated from Prescott College and then continued her Master’s studies at Brooklyn College. She is the mom to two young girls and married to Erik Skeaff, an English teacher at CRMS.

Nicole Beinstein Strait is the recent co-author with George Stranahan of Phlogs: journey to the heart of the human predicament. She lives in Redstone, CO with her husband and business partner (Strait Consulting LLC), and their two children.

Melynda Coble-Harrison: lives with two little boys, two big dogs and her handsome husband in Montana. Jen Aist is the author of Babes in the Woods: Jennifer Aist came to Alaska in 1993 for the adventure and stayed for the experience. Whether with her husband or her friends, Jennifer loves to travel and play in the Alaska backcountry along with her four children. She has logged hundred of miles with her babies in her belly, on her back and on her heels. Jennifer has been a Lactation Consultant and parent educator for the past fifteen years. She is passionate about babies, little kids and the big backyard!
